CNC Oxy Acetylene torch and Plasma Table Operator
Location: Barrie Welding and Machine – Barrie, Ontario
Job Overview:

Barrie Welding and Machine is currently seeking a skilled Plasma & Acetylene Torch Table Operator to join our dynamic Team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating our CNC plasma table, including the input and manipulation of DXF files to accurately produce high-quality parts and components using Pro Nest.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with min 5 years running a Plasma/burn table, have an excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment. Your contributions will be essential in helping us meet production targets while upholding the quality and precision standards that define Barrie Welding and Machine. You will also be working in the Steel Warehouse when available, this would include help cutting steel, unloading trucks to being a part of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate CNC Plasma Torch cutting equipment
· Load and input DXF files for cutting operations
· Monitor cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality
· Experience with overhead crane and forklift
· Deburr & deliver finished pieces to various departments
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Collaborate with team members to ensure production timelines are met
· Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications
· Assist in steel warehouse by cutting, stocking steel into racking as required, unloading trucks
Qualifications:
· Experience operating CNC plasma/torch cutting equipment
· Strong understanding of DXF files and CAD/CAM software
· Experience with Pronest software
· Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Ability to work independently and within a team environment
· Strong organizational and time management skills

Pay Range: $25.00 – 30.00 per hour

· 8 hour shift
· Day shift
· Monday to Friday
1 mandatory rotation of 1/2 day Saturday per month
