We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Staff member to join our team. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and dining areas
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Assist with food handling, preparation, and basic kitchen tasks as needed
- Ensure all food industry regulations are followed for safety and quality assurance
- Provide friendly, attentive service to customers, addressing any questions or concerns
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or restaurant operations preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Effective time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for upselling and engaging with customers
