Controller, Project & Development Accounting
Location: Langley or Vancouver Corporate Office
Reports to: Head of Accounting & Finance
We are seeking a Controller, Project & Development Accounting to lead a critical function at the center of our development and construction operations. This role is responsible for ensuring financial discipline, accuracy, and consistency across a growing portfolio of active projects, supporting how work is planned, executed, and delivered across the business.
As a key partner to Development, Construction, and Finance, the Controller leads project accounting operations and provides the financial structure, reporting clarity, and controls required to support informed decision-making. This is a leadership role with accountability for both team performance and the integrity of financial outcomes across complex, high-value projects.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will lead the execution of project accounting across multiple active development and construction projects, ensuring job cost reporting, billing processes, and financial reporting are accurate, timely, and aligned with established standards. You will oversee a team of accounting professionals, driving performance, accountability, and consistency in how financial operations are delivered.
Success in this role comes from creating strong financial visibility across projects, maintaining disciplined controls and compliance, and enabling Development and Construction teams with reliable financial insight. You will also play a key role in strengthening processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the organization remains audit-ready as it continues to grow.
What You Bring
- CPA designation
- 8–12 years of experience in project accounting, construction accounting, or development finance
- Strong expertise in job cost accounting, billing, and construction finance practices
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing accounting teams
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Strong financial systems and reporting capability
