Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Garage Floor Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing durable and high-quality garage floors, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Garage Floor Installer will contribute to transforming residential and commercial spaces by providing expert flooring solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare garage surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying primers as needed
- Measure and mark areas according to project plans and blueprints
- Install various types of flooring materials such as epoxy coatings
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and lay flooring materials accurately
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and installation instructions
- Perform carpentry tasks related to framing or subfloor preparation when necessary
- Seal joints and edges with caulking to ensure a smooth finish and prevent moisture intrusion
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Experience in flooring installation, including tile laying and epoxy application
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong carpentry skills for framing or subfloor adjustments
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and edges
- Handyman experience is a plus for troubleshooting on-site issues
- Good physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
