Agricultural Marketing Assistant
Overview
The Agricultural Marketing Assistant is responsible for representing the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) in Canada. Responsibilities include preparing commodity reports involving data collection and analysis of agricultural trade and production statistics, identifying and resolving trade problems, managing budgets for activities, and performing administrative tasks. The incumbent maintains professional and social relationships with particular groups (working, mid, and high levels) - technical and policy level government officials, industry representatives, international organization, trade associations, and research institutes to exchange information and gain cooperation on substantive trade and agricultural matters.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive insights.
- Ability to conduct research on market trends and customer insights.
- Excellent analytical skills for interpreting data and optimizing campaigns.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
