Job Summary
We are seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
Duties
- Conduct preliminary testing for patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
- Perform diagnostic tests such as auto-refraction, lensometry, and tonometry
- Assist with contact lens insertion, removal, and training
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Support the optometrist during eye exams and procedures
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
- Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
Skills
- Proficiency in using Epic or other electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of optical terminology and procedures
- Strong sales skills to assist patients in selecting eyewear
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry
- Excellent patient care and interpersonal skills
- Experience in retail sales or customer service is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of pediatric optometry is advantageous
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
Must be able to work evenings and weekends

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
