Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Landscape Strata Maintenance Foreman to lead and oversee the maintenance of landscaped areas within residential or commercial strata communities. In this role, you will coordinate a team of maintenance staff, ensure the health and beauty of outdoor spaces, and uphold high standards of landscape care. Your leadership will drive efficient operations, quality workmanship, and exceptional service delivery, creating inviting environments that residents and clients can enjoy year-round.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, planting, and general groundskeeping.
- Oversee irrigation systems to ensure proper operation, perform repairs, and optimize watering schedules for healthy plant growth.
- Lead gardening and horticulture efforts by selecting appropriate plants, pruning trees and shrubs, and maintaining flower beds to enhance aesthetic appeal.
- Ensure all landscape maintenance tasks comply with safety standards and company policies.
- Manage team schedules, assign tasks effectively, and monitor performance to foster a motivated and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues early and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with clients or property managers to plan seasonal updates or special projects that improve outdoor spaces.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or related fields with a focus on strata or community landscapes.
- Demonstrated supervising or leadership experience managing teams in outdoor or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape construction practices, and general horticultural techniques.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently; construction experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, or property managers.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; valid driver’s license preferred.
