We are seeking reliable and hardworking Live Chicken Handlers / Bird Presenters to join a poultry processing facility in Dundalk, Ontario. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely handling live chickens and presenting birds for processing while maintaining animal welfare, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle live chickens safely, carefully, and efficiently.
- Present birds to the processing line according to company procedures.
- Ensure humane handling practices and compliance with animal welfare regulations.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety policies at all times.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Assist with other production-related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Comfortable working with live poultry and around blood.
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing/processing environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and workplace policies.
- Previous experience in poultry processing, farming, livestock handling, or food production is an asset but not required.
- Training will be provided.
