Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting canada post mail to various destinations while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a range of skills including commercial driving, and basic automotive repair.
Duties
- Operate commercial trucks to deliver mailefficiently and safely across designated routes
- Load and unload mail using forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met
- report maintenance or mechanical repairs as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks and perform basic automotive repairs is a plus
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to trucking.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks associated with loading/unloading mail
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and compliance
- Ability to work independently and follow directions accurately
This position is vital for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency.
