Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring accurate medication management. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical environment, supporting patient health and safety through precise medication handling and effective communication. Prior hospital or pharmacy technician experience is preferred, along with strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and labeling prescriptions accurately
- Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment and storage compliance
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain detailed records of medication transactions and patient interactions in accordance with regulatory standards
- Ensure all pharmacy operations adhere to safety protocols and legal requirements
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, insurance processing, and documentation management
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and team members to facilitate smooth pharmacy operations
Experience
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a hospital pharmacy setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care
- Experience with medication administration processes and safety protocols
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in high-volume environments
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
