Duties
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness by thoroughly washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure safety and hygiene.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients to support chefs and cooks.
- Organize and store clean dishes and supplies efficiently to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times by handling dishwashing quickly and effectively.
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures in accordance with health regulations.
- Help with light cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas to uphold a spotless environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely food prep and service delivery.
Requirements
- Prior experience in restaurant or food service environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong understanding of cleaning protocols, food safety standards, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency.
- Basic kitchen skills such as food preparation, cooking support, or serving experience are advantageous.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward hospitality service.
- Previous hotel or restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
