Mechanical Test Technician - Cambridge
We are recruiting for an immediate employment opportunity which has the potential to become a permanent full-time position.
Our Cambridge client, one of the world's leading providers of testing, calibration and advisory services, is recruiting for a Mechanical Test Technician. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Mechanical Test Technician will set up, maintain and operate, primarily, Tensile Test Machines. The position could include the operation of band saws, shear drill presses, CNC equipment, benches, vises, hammers, hacksaws, files, chisels etc., to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. Key duties would include test execution and setup, data acquisition and analysis, preparing reports, maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting. The successful worker will be proficient in a number of core business skills, including but not limited to, compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct and company policies and procedures.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Candidates with experience operating a Tensile Test Machine will be prioritized
- 2+ years of work experience in a fast-paced production environment
- Understanding of machine functions and tools
- Ability to spot minor flaws and maintain high quality standards.
- Able to collaborate with team members and report issues effectively.
- Computer skills

- Adaptable and works well under deadlines
- Physically fit and able to lift 30lbs unassisted
