We’re seeking a CNC Lead to help integrate a new LP-25YZF Bridge-Type 5-Face Machining Center into our existing CNC department. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for programming, training, and optimizing the use of this high-capacity machine to support our broader production goals.
Your Mission as CNC Lead
As the CNC Lead, you will:
- Lead the Integration of the LP-25YZF Bridge Mill into the existing CNC workflow and production processes.
- Develop Programs for high-precision, multi-face machining jobs using G-Code and Lemoine CAM software.
- Train and Mentor, a CNC operator for safe, accurate, and efficient machine use.
- Optimize Workflows by improving setup efficiency, tooling strategies, and fixturing approaches.
- Maintain Quality Standards, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances and design specifications.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally with the engineering, design, and production teams to plan and execute jobs.
- Support Daily Operations within the CNC department, providing leadership, coaching, and problem-solving support.
About the Machine – LP-25YZF Series
The LP-25YZF Bridge-Type 5-Face Machining Center is designed for large-format, high-precision milling, making it ideal for machining heavy and complex components like frames, plates, and custom fabrications.
Key Features:
- Multi-Face Machining: Machining on five faces in one setup increases accuracy and reduces handling.
- Large Travel: Up to 6,000 mm (X), 3,200 mm (Y), and 1,000 mm (Z).
- High Load Capacity: Table supports up to 20,000 kg of workpiece weight.
- Precision: ±0.015 mm positioning accuracy; ±0.003 mm repeatability.
- Tooling: 32-tool standard magazine (up to 120 optional), with 20 kg max tool weight.
- Spindle Power: 22/26 kW (30/35 HP), with speeds up to 10,000 RPM.
- Control: Fanuc-based system compatible with G-Code and CAM software.
This machine will enhance our department’s ability to handle large parts with tighter tolerances and more efficient setups.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of experience in CNC milling, including machine programming and setup.
- Proven experience working with large-format CNC mills or 5-face machining centers is an asset.
- Strong understanding of Fanuc controls, G-code, and CAM software workflows.
- Experience training others and leading shop floor best practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances.
- Skilled with inspection tools and quality checks.
- A mindset for continuous improvement, organization, and accountability.
