Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a thorough understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. This role requires a proactive approach to team management, food handling, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff, including interviewing and training new team members
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly
- Monitor daily operations to maintain cleanliness, food safety, and quality standards
- Lead team management efforts, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing vendor relationships
- Enforce health and safety regulations in accordance with local laws and industry best practices
- Assist in kitchen operations when necessary, including food preparation and serving duties
- Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes hospitality and positive guest experiences
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food industry operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Experience with restaurant management software such as Micros POS or similar systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff
- Knowledge of hospitality standards gained through restaurant or hotel experience is preferred
- Prior experience in barista services or serving roles is a plus
- Familiarity with food handling regulations, cash handling procedures, and customer service excellence is essential
