Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable& Payroll Clerk to join our team. The position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, employee payroll, and related financial records. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process high volume vendor invoices, expense reports, and credit card statements with accuracy and timeliness
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
- Investigate and resolve pricing, quantity, and receipt discrepancies in coordination with Purchasing and Operations
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Prepare and process weekly or bi-weekly payment runs (EFTs, wire transfers)
- Maintain vendor master files and ensure proper documentation
- Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger
- Assist with month-end close and audit requests related to AP
Payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits
- Maintain employee payroll records and update changes (new hires, terminations, pay adjustments)
- Prepare and remit payroll taxes, statutory deductions, and benefits contributions
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a confidential and professional manner
- Assist with year-end payroll reporting (T4s, ROEs, etc., if applicable)
General Accounting & Administration
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Support internal controls and compliance with company policies
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy
- Ability to reconcile accounts and analyze financial data.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin and English mandatory
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounts payable and payroll in a Canadian environment
- Working knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and statutory remittances
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll systems
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Preferred
- Experience with Sage ERP or other ERP systems and payroll systems

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
