Lead Structural Engineer – (Buildings plus)
My client’s structural team is looking for a Lead, someone who has a network of work and able to continue to grow it. This team is unique in that they have a diverse background, which allows them to be involved in a wide range of markets. From large scale developments to temporary structures. They love to take on new challenges in varying regions with vast construction types.
Education: Structural/Civil Engineering degree; Masters is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Lead and shape projects across various sectors, including commercial, institutional,
- educational and some industrial. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring a team of
- structural engineers, guiding them through projects, while also fostering client
- relationships.
- Oversee or directly contribute to the structural design of buildings including commercial,
- institutional, educational, sports & recreation, healthcare, airports, transportation, and
- industrial.
- Work with the project team from conceptual & preliminary stages of design through to
- completion
- Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program
- Directly engage with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business
- relationships.
- Participate in the business development activities through the Metro Vancouver area.
- Champion a culture of client service excellence and team collaboration.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience directly related in structural engineering; steel or concrete.
- A registered P.Eng. with APEGA, or ability to
- StructEng designation with APEGA is an asset
- Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none.
- Commercial, institutional, civic, industrial etc.
This position is located in Calgary, AB Canada and can be a shareholder type role.
