Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for culinary excellence. As an integral part of our conference centre, the Executive Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards, and inspire creativity within the culinary team.
Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality dishes that meet established standards
- Manage food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene compliance in accordance with health regulations
- Develop and update menus that reflect current culinary trends while aligning with restaurant concept and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation standards at all times
- Provide training and mentorship to kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service excellence
- Serve as a leader in hospitality by maintaining a positive atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional service
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting with demonstrated team management skills
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and cost management
- Expertise in food handling, safety regulations, and sanitation standards
- Previous experience as a chef in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop culinary staff
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on teamwork and service excellence
