Job Summary
The primary role of the Front of House (FOH) Manager is to lead the FOH team to success by taking ownership of all things related to organization, cleanliness, maintenance, and efficient procedures for regular operations. The FOH Manager runs their area with attention to detail, creating a vibrant culture and a healthy team setting. They execute Le Croissant’s high standards and hold their team accountable to these standards.
To be successful in this role, the FOH Manager must exhibit strong skills related to leadership & coaching, time management, organization, Guest relations, knowledge of baking, and a motivation to keep all service areas clean, functional, and presentable.
Duties
- Ensure that all measures are taken to protect the brand (Guest safety, product confidence, legitimate feedback, etc.)
- Participation in Ownership Team meetings (Tuesdays), Management & Supervisor Meetings (bi-weekly)
- Establish FOH schedules, inform employees, and ensure follow-up
- Ensure compliance with Le Croissant recipes and manufacturing techniques
- Provide active Leadership to FOH & BOH personnel
- Perform various bakery tasks…”be hands on” and “be present, approachable, & engaged”
- Provide professional feedback on quality standards to the Production Manager
- Accurately complete weekly inventory
- Complete all Administrative Duties as prescribed (Daily Cash, Invoice Coding, KPI, Tip Pool, etc.)
- Assist General Manager & Production Manager in recruitment of both FOH and BOH staff
- Ensure the application of Health and Safety Standards by all team members
- Develop & utilize tools and schedules to ensure that all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and performing to optimal standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified standards of excellence related to Guest service
- Acute attention to detail
- Natural leader, organized, and dynamic
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Passionate about food & drink
- Working knowledge of production operations management (purchasing, inventory, production planning cost management, human resources management, etc.)
- High degree of autonomy
- Good physical condition
- Ability to document processes and procedures
- Balanced approach to creating successful outcomes…tenacious, patient, kind, accountable, mature
- Bilingual in English & French (preferred)
