Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Safety Officer (CSO) to support our construction operations across drywall, steel stud, and insulation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and supporting site teams through proactive safety leadership.
Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and enforce site safety programs and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety orientations
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC and company safety standards
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports
- Liaise with project management, site supervision, and subcontractors
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions when required
Qualifications & Experience
- Fluent in English and Punjabi (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Construction Safety Officer in residential construction.
- Strong background in drywall, steel stud, and insulation safe work procedures.
- All required and valid safety certifications (CSO designation, First Aid, Fall Protection, WHMIS, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of BC construction safety regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Tech Savvy and ability to handle documents.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple active job sites.
