Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and related maintenance skills. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across various commercial and residential properties. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and ventilation units
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems as needed
- Weld components or parts to repair or modify equipment when necessary
- Work with boilers and other mechanical equipment to ensure safety and compliance standards are met
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to identify problems with appliances or mechanical systems
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and parts used
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or Mechanic with a strong understanding of HVAC systems
- G1 GAS TECHNICIAN LICENCE
- Sheet Metal Licence
- 313A Refrigeration Licence
- Knowledge of plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and appliance repair is highly desirable
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in construction or maintenance environments preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently
- Valid certification or licensing in HVAC or related fields is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn on the job
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces
