Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate On Call Youth Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our youth residential facility. This role requires a strong leadership presence, excellent supervisory skills, and a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment for youth in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or senior care, with a focus on dementia care and medication administration. Duties
- Provide on-call supervision and support for youth residents, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Oversee daily activities, including coordinating educational, recreational, and therapeutic programs
- Supervise staff members, including training, mentoring, and evaluating performance
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining accurate records
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Respond promptly to emergencies or behavioral issues with appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and families to develop individualized care plans
- Ensure the facility adheres to all licensing requirements and safety standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or senior care is highly preferred
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare or residential setting
- Knowledge of dementia care and medication administration protocols
- Strong organizational skills with experience in budgeting and administrative management
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead staff and interact with residents' families
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing quality care for youth residents
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to healthcare or youth services are a plus
