**About the Role:**
As a Front Counter Sales Associate, your main priority is to assist customers with diagnosing and solving their battery issues, primarily automotive. You will guide them through our trusted sales process, prepare parts and service quotes, and handle basic battery installations when necessary.
We understand that you may not be a battery expert yet, which is why we offer comprehensive training. You'll shadow our experienced staff on calls, installations, and customer interactions to learn the ins and outs of the job.
Our customers will appreciate your dedication to finding the best solutions, not just making a sale.
**The Ideal Candidate:**
To excel in this role, a bit of sales or customer service experience is beneficial, but the following qualities are key to being the right fit:
- Hands-On Attitude: You don't mind getting your hands dirty. You'll be working with batteries, vehicles, and occasionally outdoors to assist customers in our parking lot, always going the extra mile to diagnose their problems.
- Calm Under Pressure: You stay composed during busy times and can multitask efficiently.
- Proactive Problem Solver: You take initiative, whether it's addressing potential problems or seizing learning opportunities.
- Comfortable with Tools: You enjoy working with your hands and feel at ease using tools like wrenches, sockets, and drills for basic battery installations.
**Qualifications:**
- Experience in a customer-facing role (sales or customer service).
- Experience with cash handling in a retail environment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Preferred experience working with tools (wrenches, sockets, drills).
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (for deliveries).
- Dangerous goods training and forklift training are assets (we’ll provide training).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
