Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure food safety standards, and maintain efficient restaurant management during your shift. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality environments is highly valued, along with proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service
- Manage team members, including interviewing, training, and supervising staff to foster a positive work environment
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Micros POS and perform cash handling duties
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
- Monitor customer service standards, address guest concerns promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Assist in restaurant management tasks such as inventory control, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to company policies
- Lead by example in hospitality, serving guests when necessary and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, interviewing, and training staff
- Background in restaurant management or hospitality roles including hotel or barista experience is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully
- Knowledge of food handling regulations, kitchen operations, and food industry standards
- Prior experience in food service environments such as restaurants or hotels is highly desirable

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
