Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Manager with ECE or ECE IT SN certification with minimum of 2 years of experience to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children while managing staff and coordinating activities. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood development, and experience working with children, including those with special needs. The Childcare Manager will play a vital role in fostering a positive atmosphere that supports children's growth and learning.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support childcare staff to ensure high-quality care and educational activities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote early childhood development
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and licensing requirements
- Monitor the well-being of children, including those with disabilities or special needs, providing individualized attention as necessary
- Coordinate daily schedules, including meal times, naps, and educational activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff
- Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating staff members to foster a professional team atmosphere
Skills
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or related fields
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to develop engaging educational activities
- Excellent caregiving abilities with patience, empathy, and attentiveness
- Effective leadership and communication skills to manage staff and interact with parents
- Knowledge of safety standards and licensing regulations for childcare facilities
