Cascadia Metals is seeking a reliable, motivated Administrative Assistant to join our Edmonton team. This role supports the day-to-day efficiency of the office and provides administrative assistance across all departments. As the go-to resource for administrative requests and projects, the successful candidate will enjoy a variety of tasks and be comfortable stepping in wherever needed.
Responsibilities

Greet customers and respond to inquiries in person, by phone, and by email.

Process Accounts Receivable: deposits, credit card payments, apply payments in Steel Plus, and release orders upon payment.

Provide customer statements and support AR-related questions.

Act as the branch Accounts Payable contact: pre-approve freight/office invoices and prepare weekly packages for manager approval.

Support customer service and sales: process POs, create sales orders, provide order updates, and complete inventory lookups.

Order office and warehouse supplies as needed.

Prepare end-of-day outbound shipment report and ensure freight costs are allocated accurately across orders.

Provide administrative support to staff, managers, and sales representatives.

Complete general office duties (copying, scanning, courier, mail receiving/distribution, inter-branch communication).

Collect and submit expense reports for the office and designated personnel.
Requirements

1+ year of experience in an administrative, receptionist, or customer service role.

Post-secondary education preferred.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Able to work independently and collaboratively.
