We're seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join a leading building products company in the South East End as a contract Shipper/Receiver. This is a contract for 2 months with the possibility of extension.
Required Skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by a combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and efficiently
- Proficient in reading and interpreting product codes and descriptions
- Strong basic math skills for accurate counting and inventory management
- Forklift operation experience is considered an asset
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Pick and pack client orders using order picking sheets to locate products throughout the warehouse
- Package orders accurately and efficiently
- Transport products safely using manual lifting, carts, or dollies
- Load client orders into trucks and verify contents
- Unload incoming shipments and put products away in designated warehouse storage areas
- Conduct inventory counts to ensure accuracy
- Dispose of trash and recycling, and keep work areas clean, clear, and safe from hazards
Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pm
Wage: $20.50 per hour
