The Bread Box Bakery is seeking a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Front Counter Sales Associates to join our team year-round at Crossroads Market in Calgary.
We are looking for individuals who values consistency, takes pride in their work, and wants to become a long-term member of a growing bakery team. This is not a seasonal position.

Schedule Requirements
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is mandatory.
- Approximately 9-hour shifts each day.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position.
- Because our business operates exclusively on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, these shifts are considered essential to our operation.
- Applicants must be able to commit to working weekends on an ongoing basis and understand that reliability is a key component of success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service in a busy farmers’ market environment.
- Welcome customers and create a positive, friendly shopping experience.
- Build relationships with regular customers and foster customer loyalty.
- Learn and confidently communicate information about our breads, pastries, and bakery products.
- Recommend products and assist customers with purchases.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Slice, package, and present bread and bakery products.
- Maintain attractive, fully stocked displays throughout the day.
- Restock inventory as needed.
- Assist with setup and teardown of market displays and products.
- Keep work areas, displays, and equipment clean, organized, and professional at all times.
- Work closely with bakers and fellow front counter team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of customer service experience preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with customers.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and highly reliable.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to stand, move, and remain active during 9-hour shifts.
