Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional barber/hairstylist, who can perform individually all aspects of barbering and hairstyling. This role involves providing exceptional haircutting and styling skills ,customer service, assisting clients with their needs, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have strong haircutting , coloring, chemical services and men grooming including beard shaping skills. A passion for beauty and retail, and the ability to work effectively both at the front desk and in styling services. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in hair styling, retail sales, and client relations within a dynamic salon environment.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly upon arrival and ensure a positive experience from check-in to check-out
- Assist clients with scheduling appointments and answering inquiries about services offered
- Perform basic hair styling services as needed, ensuring high standards of sanitation and safety
- Promote retail products through upselling techniques to enhance client satisfaction and sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the salon, including workstations and common areas
- Provide excellent customer service by listening to client needs and offering personalized recommendations
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as processing payments, booking appointments, and handling client records
- Support team members with additional tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in barbering ,styling , all types of mens haircuts - high fad /mid fad/ mullet cut and all types of beard shaping skills
- Female hairstyling would be the asset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members
- Knowledge of sanitation standards within a salon or similar environment is a plus
- Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining excellent customer relationships
- Previous experience in hair styling or front desk roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Friendly demeanor, professional appearance, and a passion for helping others succeed in their beauty goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality service standards
