· Performing general physical activities.
· Set out signs and cones around work areas.
· Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Erect, install, or repair guiderail, road shoulders, signs, highway markers, asphalt repair (patching or crack sealing) litter control and may perform other related duties as assigned
- Good record keeping (pre/post trip, daily timesheets, safety records, etc.)

Skill Requirements:
· Valid Class 3 license with airbrake endorsement
· Class 1E license an asset
· Interested candidates must be willing to be trained as a winter plow operator during the winter season (October-April) following summer seasonal work.
- Previous snow plowing experience with large tandem plow trucks and previous winter maintenance experience (snow blowing, winter drainage, and other operations deemed necessary during the winter season) are considered assets.
Work Experience/Assets:
· Knowledge of highway maintenance/roadways.
· Knowledge of the Work Area Traffic Control Manual is an asset.
· Ability to operate large trucks and other related equipment (ex. roller, mini-excavator, etc.) and the ability to perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment, etc.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to equipment, traffic, working outdoors, and noise.
Physical Demands: The employee may be required to stand or walk for periods of time and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
