Clearview Requires an
Occupational Therapist
Clearview Public Schools invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Full Time Occupational Therapist (OT). The assignment will be starting on August 25, 2026.
Clearview Public Schools is an inclusive public education system offering a comprehensive range of programs to serve the learning needs of approximately 2,200 Kindergarten to Grade 12 students in and around the communities of east central Alberta. Our schools are located in Big Valley, Botha, Brownfield, Byemoor, Castor, Coronation, Donalda, Erskine and Stettler as well as ten Hutterite colony schools.
The OT is an active member of the Student Services team, providing consultative and collaborative services for students from Early Learning to Grade 12. Following an inclusive model of service, the OT works alongside educators, staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support meaningful participation, engagement, and success for all students across a variety of learning environments and school experiences.
The OT provides consultation, assessment, and a continuum of supports that enhance student programming, participation, skill development, and overall well-being. Through the division’s referral process, the OT will complete student-specific assessments and contribute to individualized programming and support plans. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the OT will support and promote the success of all students as part of multidisciplinary teams across the school division.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Bachelor’s degree and at least five years’ related experience and be registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). Knowledge of health issues caused by cognitive, behavioural and developmental concerns for children are required. Experience working with early learning and school-aged population is also required. Advanced communication and collaboration skills will be considered an asset.
Qualified candidates are asked to forward their resume and cover letter along with three references electronically to quoting competition number 6284 in the subject line. By virtue of the submission of an application, the applicant agrees that the Clearview can contract references prior to the interview as well as contact previous employers for the purpose of conducting confidential reference checks whether or not the applicant has listed a reference for that employer.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector prior to employment commencing.
This competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found; however, those applying on or before noon on June 3, 2026 are assured careful consideration.
