Position Overview
We are hiring an experienced Front of House District Manager to oversee Front of House (FOH) operations across our 4 Calgary restaurants. This key leadership role serves as the primary point of contact for all FOH Managers and focuses on building strong teams, optimizing staffing and scheduling, controlling key costs, ensuring compliance, and driving consistent guest satisfaction. - Review, approve, and optimize weekly schedules for FOH teams to achieve labor cost targets while maintaining excellent service levels.
- Monitor and ensure labor cost and food cost targets are met or exceeded in all locations through regular analysis, actionable plans, and collaboration with store managers.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, disciplinary actions, and terminations for FOH staff, ensuring a positive team culture and high retention.
- Conduct regular store visits, audits, and walkthroughs to verify compliance with brand standards, cleanliness, presentation, and service protocols.
- Ensure all stores consistently meet or exceed internal audit requirements and prepare for/respond to external health inspections and regulatory visits.
- Address guest feedback, resolve escalated issues, and implement improvements to elevate the overall guest experience.
- Collaborate with ownership and store teams on initiatives to improve operations, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
- Track key performance metrics (e.g., labour %, guest satisfaction, audit scores) and report regularly to ownership.
- Foster a positive, energetic, and guest-focused culture aligned with Stacked's family-friendly brand values.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in multi-unit or district-level roles within casual dining, breakfast/brunch, or quick-service environments.
- Proven track record of managing Front of House teams, staffing, scheduling, and cost control (labour and food).
- Strong leadership skills with experience in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Knowledge of Alberta health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and health inspection processes.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
- Proficient with scheduling software, POS systems, and basic reporting tools (experience with restaurant management software an asset).
