Shade Sails Canada is the industry leader in tensioned fabric shade structures, designing and manufacturing the highest-grade shade solutions for both residential and commercial applications in Canada and USA.
We have an exciting seasonal opportunity to join our team as a Shades and Awnings Installer based out of our Revelstoke office.
Duties
- Install and assemble shade sail structures, including posts, cables, and fabric systems.
- Measure, mark, and prepare installation sites according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation instructions.
- Secure and anchor structural components using hand and power tools.
- Inspect and verify alignment, tension, and structural integrity of installations.
- Perform adjustments and repairs to ensure proper fit and function.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to job sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards.
- Provide on-site guidance and basic training to installation helpers or subcontractors.
- Communicate with project managers and team members regarding progress and issues.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with hand tools, installations, manufacturing or related fields (1 year to less than 2 years).
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when required (up to 45 kg/100 lbs).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic work setting
