Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from pain through therapeutic massage techniques. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to communicate effectively with clients, and a solid understanding of medical terminology to ensure a safe and effective treatment experience.
Duties
- Provide professional massage therapy services tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and other modalities.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history and specific concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate with clients about their preferences, comfort levels, and any areas of concern during sessions.
- Keep accurate records of client treatments and progress to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques through ongoing education and training.
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to enhance the overall client experience.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
