Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive In Room Dining Order Taker to join our hospitality team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest service by accurately taking and processing in-room dining orders, ensuring a memorable experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food service or restaurant environments. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hotel setting, delivering personalized service with professionalism and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Familiarization of Menu and Pricing; correct check handling and deposit procedures
Ensure that all work areas are clean and properly stocked according to the current meal period
Ensure that all room service trays, station and equipment are clean and properly set according to property specific standards
Ensure the breakdown trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish room area according to established standards
Assist colleagues by delivering and refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, and promptly resolving any guest requests
Ensure guest satisfaction with food and service and attend to complaints
Ensure the completion of daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side-work checklist
Ensure that the phones are answered in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner
Receive room service orders over the phone and maintain records in computer system
Greeting guests at entrance of dining room or lounge
Assist fellow associates as needed throughout the shift
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services
Additional duties as necessary and assigned
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Will be required to stand for extended periods & lift to 50lbs
Excellent communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
Pleasant, courteous and respectful to guests, co-workers and management
Excellent command of the English language both oral and written
Demonstrate customer service ethic and have a friendly and outgoing disposition
Proven abilities in handling guest requests with effective resolutions
Well developed communication and organization skills with abilities to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Punctual and able to work independently
Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Office and SMS
RATE: $ 26.19 (starting wage) $27.19 (after probation)
HOURS: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 4:30pm – 12am (schedule may vary)
Pay: From $26.19 per hour
