Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machine Operator specializing in Waterjet cutting in a METAL INDUSTRY! In this energetic role, you will operate and maintain high-precision waterjet cutting machines to produce complex metal and composite parts. Duties
- Set up and operate Waterjet CNC machines, ensuring precise cuts according to detailed blueprints and CAD drawings
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to determine proper machine settings and tooling requirements
- Program CNC Waterjet machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems, optimizing cutting parameters for quality and efficiency
- Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on waterjet equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Use hand tools, calipers, and basic math skills to verify dimensions and inspect finished parts for accuracy
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to machining and waterjet operations
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and support continuous improvement initiatives like lean manufacturing practices
Experience
- Prior experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines or CNC lathes is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files (SolidWorks or similar software)
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages and systems, particularly Fanuc controls
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, assembly, and use of power tools
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; experience with calipers is a plus
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, forklifts (certification preferred), and follow safety guidelines
- Experience in lean manufacturing environments is advantageous but not required
