Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our busy practice in Kamloops. In this role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, eye health examinations, and corrective lens prescriptions.
Equipment available: OCT, Retinal Imaging, Visual Field testing, EMR.
Daily Minimum and/or percentage of billing included.
For Optometrists living outside of Kamloops area, travel reimbursement available.
Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to assess vision and ocular health.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other vision aids tailored to individual patient needs.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and pediatric eye issues.
- Educate patients on eye health maintenance, proper contact lens use, and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate with optical staff to recommend suitable eyewear options and ensure proper fitting.
- Maintain accurate patient records using our electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as an Optometrist BC.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to patients of all ages.

Pay: $750.00-$1,200.00 per day
