We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Lead Spray Foam Insulator to join our team in Saint John, New Brunswick. This role is responsible for leading a spray foam installation crew on residential and commercial projects while ensuring quality workmanship, jobsite safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with spray foam systems, strong leadership abilities, and a solid understanding of building envelope and insulation practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise spray foam installation crews on job sites
- Operate and maintain spray foam equipment
- Apply spray foam insulation in accordance with manufacturer specifications and building code requirements
- Prepare job sites, including masking, ventilation setup, and material staging
- Monitor foam quality, thickness, adhesion, and overall installation standards
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Train and mentor junior installers and helpers
- Complete daily job documentation, safety reports, and material tracking
- Troubleshoot equipment and application issues as they arise
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, trailers, and equipment
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of spray foam application experience
- Previous crew lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Valid spray foam certification
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices
- Experience working with closed-cell spray foam systems
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
Safety Requirements
- Strong understanding of PPE requirements and jobsite safety procedures
- WHMIS certification required
- Fall Protection certification considered an asset
- First Aid certification considered an asset
