Weldertech is looking for a motivated and reliable service technician/small engine mechanic.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engines, and equipment.
Qualifications: experience as a small engine mechanic or service technician with a very strong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills.
Experience with gas and diesel powered equipment. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, fuel, ignition systems, and charging systems.
We are a small shop that repairs welding equipment, such as mig, tig, stick machines, as well as engine driven welding equipment.. We are an authorized service centre for Miller, Lincoln Electric, Esab, Thermal dynamic and other brands.
We specialize in the repair, maintenance and calibration of welding equipment, electric and engine driven.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Follow safety protocols related to industrial electrician work, low voltage systems, and general maintenance procedures
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify potential issues before failures occur
Experience
- Proven experience on small engines, gas and diesel, mechanical maintenance.
- Mechanical aptitude, and experience on gas and diesel engines
- Strong analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork
- Customer service orientation to effectively support internal clients and vendors
