Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role requires strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a genuine love for working with children. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued, especially for programs serving diverse populations. The Early Childhood Educator will play a vital role in fostering developmental growth and ensuring a positive learning experience for all students.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Engage children in educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues regarding progress and classroom activities
- Assess individual student needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities using computer operation skills
- Collaborate with team members to organize classroom routines, events, and special projects
- Uphold health and safety standards in compliance with licensing regulations
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding assistant teachers or volunteers as needed
- Manage time efficiently to balance instructional duties with administrative responsibilities
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, including classroom experience
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French or bilingual abilities are preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
- Ability to utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Writing skills necessary for documentation and parent communication
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine passion for early childhood development

Pay: $25.61-$31.07 per hour
