Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical components, and HVAC systems
- Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery when necessary
- Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized maintenance tools
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures and heavy lifting activities
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or machine service
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of mechanical components as required for repairs or upgrades
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic; dealership experience is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, HVAC, and engine diagnostics
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm or industrial equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair or heavy equipment operation are a plus
- Experience working with industrial equipment or farm machinery is advantageous
