Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various fields including HVAC, and refrigeration. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and repairing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment in both residential and commercial settings.
Tasks/Duties
- Install ventilation, air handling and air conditioning systems
- Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation
- Measure and lay out reference points for installation
- Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements
- Troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
- Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
- Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices
- Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems
Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
or equivalent experience
