Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator (Counterbalance Propane) to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating various types of forklifts, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory management and supporting order fulfillment processes in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move, load, and unload products within the warehouse
- Perform order picking and stacking to ensure accurate and timely shipment processing
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and organization of warehouse storage areas
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Use basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order fulfillment
- Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries in the warehouse environment
Skills
- Proven experience with warehouse distribution operations and forklift driving
- Proficiency in operating clamp trucks, order pickers, and other material handling equipment
- Mechanical knowledge to perform minor troubleshooting or maintenance on forklifts when necessary
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
- Strong understanding of order picking procedures and warehouse safety standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and verifying quantities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain an orderly work environment
