Island Glass Ltd in Hamilton, BERMUDA is seeking Experienced Electric Doors Technicians to join our team ! Seeking skilled and experienced technicians to install and service automatic electric doors, commercial all glass doors, storefront doors, operators, control boxes and related products. This position requires Technicians with at least 5 years’ of hands-on experience including basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Must be English speaking and be able to RE LOCATE to the Island of BERMUDA and join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation and service of electrical and commercial door/window and glass products, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. This role involves working on various projects, and commercial installations.
Responsibilities
- Installation, service, and repair of commercial electrical doors.
- installing parts to electrically operated doors – control boxes, sensors, handicap buttons, key cards etc.
- Ensure proper handling of electrical doors and glass materials to prevent damage during transportation to site as well as storage on site and during the installation process.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Perform maintenance/ and service work on installed products and parts to ensure longevity and performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Minimum 5 years experience with installing electrically operated doors.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
- Experience in both Installation and Service on electrically operated doors and storefront doors.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing glass installations effectively.
- Must be neat, tidy, organized and articulate and be able to work well with others.
- Ability to lift.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential for quality outcomes.
- Mechanically minded.
- Must speak and Read English
