A casual supply staff at Lamplighter Preschool is needed and the chosen candidate will be playing, engaging (promoting language, self-help, self-regulation and other skills) and supervision of children. Communication with co-workers and working as a Team. Being welcoming and professional, assist in tidying, diapering and settling children at rest. Be flexible, calm, patient with children, be caring, enthusiastic and taking initiative while working in a loud, busy, fast paced environment. Adhere to all policies and procedures and following direction of the full time Educators.
Car is necessary if you are not in Napanee or walking distance. Working with children has bending, sitting, standing, stooping, lifting and kneeling. Be prepared to play in most weather/seasons. Shoes, boots, rain gear etc.
Those with Safe Food Handlers Certificate may be called in to cover kitchen when Cook is away. Cook is on their feet a lot, around HOT items, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting. Time management with meal prep and delivery, dishes, follow recipes and keep a safe, sanitized work space.
