Morson Edge is currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support a key client within the defence sector. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing DRMIS data and documentation in support of the Director Land Equipment Program Staff / Director General Land Equipment Program Management (DLEPS/DGLEPM).
About the Role
You will play a critical role in developing, updating, and standardizing technical documentation that supports business operations, training, and system use within DRMIS and LEMS environments.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the DRMIS Functional Support Team to develop and update documentation aligned with business and training needs
Assess documentation requirements, identify gaps, and plan updates based on evolving systems and processes
Author and maintain technical documents (DRMIS/LEMS PM & MM) in line with current system versions
Transform SME inputs into clear, structured, and professionally formatted documentation
Create user-focused materials such as job aids, quick reference guides, checklists, and workflow diagrams
Ensure all deliverables comply with DGLEPM and DND standards and policies
Validate content accuracy through SME collaboration and source verification
Design layouts and visuals to enhance clarity and usability
Produce publication-ready documentation using industry-standard tools
Must-Have Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance
Minimum 5 years of experience (within the last 10 years) creating and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, job aids, or training materials related to land-based systems
At least 4 years of experience as a Technical Writer in an IM/IT environment
Minimum 61 months of experience developing procedures from technical manuals and business processes for ERP systems
