Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused professional to join our Paint Department team. This role involves assisting customers with their paint and renovation needs, providing expert product recommendations, and supporting sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of construction and renovation processes, and experience in retail or inside sales. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting paint products and related renovation supplies based on project requirements
- Conduct product demos and upsell complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage inside sales transactions, including cashiering and cash handling, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Provide detailed product information, including technical specifications and application techniques
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and maintaining stock levels
- Utilize organizational skills to manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers when necessary
- Engage in marketing activities to promote new products or special promotions within the department
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental sales goals and enhance overall customer experience
- Use communication skills to effectively negotiate with customers and resolve any issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, inside sales, or customer service roles; outside sales experience is a plus
- Knowledge of renovation, construction, or painting industry is preferred
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to upsell products effectively
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional language skills are beneficial
- Organizational skills for managing inventory, product displays, and customer interactions
- Ability to provide high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
- This position is integral to delivering exceptional service while supporting the growth of our Paint Department through expert product knowledge and effective sales strategies.
Pay: $16.50-$18.00 per hour
