Dyson Alarm Tech is seeking an Operations / General Manager. This is a full time position Monday to Friday and will provide a health spending account.
In this position, you will work under/ in conjunction with the owner to oversee ongoing projects and technicians from the office and jobsites. Experience with fire alarms and / or security alarms and CCTV is mandatory. Your main duties will include:
DUTIES
- Supervising a team of employees and providing guidance and support.
- Monitoring and ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Analyzing operational data to identify areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients and addressing any concerns or inquiries
- Completing detailed project schedules and budget allocations, while monitoring and reporting on a project's overall status.
- Quoting jobs
- Identify and secure sub-contractors to assist in the completion of the project as necessary.
- Organize installation dates with the client and schedule appropriate staff.
- Review work orders completed by technicians and initiate invoicing with accounts receivable.
- Review inspection reports and ensure their accuracy/completion.
- Allocate work to team members while reviewing project completion in relation to timelines.
- Plan and control budget and expenditures.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
- Order stock, parts for projects.
- Update and oversee price lists and inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work extra hours to ensure a successful project as required.
- Be able to build and maintain strong positive relationships and work culture.
- Be proactive, able to think on your feet and have exceptional problem solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Experience as a fire alarm technician, security alarm technician or electrician.
- Ability to learn computer programs quickly.
- Experience as a supervisor / manager / team leader.
- CFAA certification or recent experience in fire protection field
