Project Coordinator (full time)

Reporting to the Area Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for providing oversight and coordination of all project & turnaround activities within their enclave to ensure that they are completed safely, on time and within budget. This job is responsible to act as the primary interface for Operations, Maintenance, Capital Projects group, Safety and Engineering with regards to the successful completion of project & turnaround objectives. Production Enclave - Air Separation, Carbon Dioxide and Hydrogen plants (w/pipelines) throughout Sarnia, Corunna, Mooretown, Chatham, and other facilities as needed.
What you will enjoy doing*
- You’ll essentially own the end-to-end planning—building project and turnaround plans, schedules, budgets, and making sure everything is set up for success

You’ll lead both planned and unplanned shutdowns, from creating the job plans and critical path to tracking execution and wrapping things up properly

A big part of your role is keeping everyone aligned—working closely with facility managers, operations, maintenance, and contractors to prioritize work and communicate status

Safety is huge here—you’ll make sure all environmental, safety, and compliance requirements are met, and you’ll also lead contractor safety meetings

You’ll run regular coordination meetings and keep all project, maintenance, and capital work integrated into one master schedule

On the execution side, you’ll manage manpower, contractor activity, and field progress—making real-time adjustments to keep productivity high and costs in check

You’ll also have ownership of budgets—tracking spend, forecasting, and flagging any risks or deviations to plant leadership

Finally, you’ll support continuous improvement—participating in investigations, managing change processes, and ensuring quality so equipment is reliable when everything restarts
What makes you great*
- For this role TSSA 3rd Class Operating Engineer or TSSA Refrigeration B certification preferred

Ideally, you’ve got about five (5)+ years of experience in plant engineering, turnarounds, or reliability—and you’ve had the chance to lead and drive results

An engineering degree is definitely a bonus, but we’re really focused on hands-on experience and leadership capability.

This role needs strong soft skills—you’re comfortable communicating, influencing, making decisions, and even leading discussions with different groups

You’re someone who can build relationships across the organization and work effectively with a lot of different stakeholders

You have a solid understanding of how plant equipment and manufacturing processes actually work on the ground

You’re familiar with safety, environmental, and health standards—and you know how critical they are in this kind of environment

From a technical side, you understand maintenance, inspections, and the basics of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems

You’re organized and adaptable—you can juggle multiple priorities, follow things through to completion, and you’re comfortable using tools like CMMS and Microsoft applications

This is an existing position with an annual salary range of $100,000 - $120,000.
