Our client is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural CAD Designer to support a portfolio of industrial projects across the mining, oil & gas, LNG, utilities, and heavy industrial sectors.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing high-quality design deliverables for complex industrial facilities, working closely with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams throughout all phases of project execution.
This is a 6 - 8 month contract with a strong possibility of extension. This role is best suited for a highly experienced designer who enjoys creating detailed design packages and supporting large-scale industrial developments.
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawing packages for industrial facilities
- Prepare civil and structural layouts, sections, details, and construction drawings
- Support the design of foundations, equipment supports, pipe racks, buildings, and structural steel systems
- Coordinate designs with mechanical, piping, process, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines
- Participate in model reviews and interdisciplinary coordination meetings
- Produce construction drawing packages and as-built revisions
- Ensure all deliverables comply with client and company drafting standards
- Support project teams through conceptual design, detailed engineering, and construction support phases
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control reviews
- 12+ years of civil and structural design experience
- Extensive experience supporting mining, industrial, oil & gas, LNG, or utility projects
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and industrial modelling platforms
- Extensive 3D modelling and 2D drafting experience
- Experience producing structural steel, concrete, foundation, and industrial facility drawings
- Strong understanding of industrial engineering design practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
