We are currently seeking an experienced Production Extruder Technician with hands-on experience in window and door profile extrusion to join our manufacturing team in Woodbridge, Ontario.
This is a highly specialized role requiring candidates who are turnkey and capable of independently performing machine setup, startup, troubleshooting, and profile adjustments with minimal training. Candidates must have direct experience working with plastic extrusion profiles similar to window and door systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare extrusion machines according to production schedules and specifications
- Perform complete line setup and startup for assigned production quadrants
- Operate extrusion equipment to manufacture high-quality window and door profiles
- Monitor and adjust process parameters including temperature, pressure, and speed
- Troubleshoot extrusion issues and profile defects in real-time
- Conduct die setup, die changes, and profile calibrations
- Monitor production dashboards and respond to machine/process alarms
- Perform quality inspections during production runs
- Complete startup and shutdown procedures safely and efficiently
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
- Minimize downtime through strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Maintain safety, housekeeping, and production standards
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on extrusion technician experience with forming up, start up and trouble shooting process in plastic extrusion
- Direct experience with window and door profile extrusion is strongly preferred
- Extruder startups
- Forming and profile setup
- Die setup and die changes
- Troubleshooting extrusion defects and process issues
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of extrusion processes
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and production documents
- Experience using measuring tools and quality inspection equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
- Must be able to work in Woodbridge, ON

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
